ASHLEY HUTCHINSON
PRINTMAKER
Welcome to Ash Leaf Printmaking, the home of printmaker and designer Ashley Hutchinson. Having studied illustration at Brighton University, he has now established himself as a printmaker and designer, specialising in hand embossing. The company was founded in 2016 and produces a range of products from limited edition lino and wood cut prints, to tea towels and greetings cards, all depicting nature and wildlife.
As a designer, Ashley is inspired by nature and the patterns within it. He uses a variety of printmaking techniques, including linocut, woodcut, and letterpress, to capture the intricate details and textures of nature, creating striking pieces. He combines these bold, graphic designs with a twist, incorporating embossing into all his prints. This gives them a unique look and feel, adding a depth to each image.
In addition to original artwork, Ash Leaf Printmaking also offers a range of greeting cards that are perfect for any occasion. Each card features a stunning wildlife or nature inspired design, and is printed on high-quality recycled paper with a blank interior for a personal message. These bright, contemporary designs are enhanced by being individually hand embossed.
Ashley is committed to creating art that is not only beautiful, but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. Using paper made from recycled materials, to reusing packaging whenever possible. He is lucky enough to have solar panels to generate power to help run the studio and so is always striving to minimise the impact on the environment in everything he does.
Thank you for visiting Ash Leaf Printmaking. We hope that the artwork inspires you.
